It Started With a $70 Rack and a Really Expensive Dream

Resurrection Vintage Studio began in January 2025 out of necessity, but God clearly had a much better story in mind. After selling the floral business I owned for 13 years, I spent several years working jobs that left my creative side completely unused, and honestly, it was taking a toll on me. I needed work that allowed me to create, stay present for my family, and focus on my son, Kreede.

Then Kreede decided he wanted to become a pilot. Flight lessons are wildly expensive, so instead of taking out a loan, we decided I would find another way to help pay for them. I had always loved thrift stores, decorating, and finding the pieces everyone else walked right past, so I rented one tiny $70 rack and a shelf inside Magpie Collective, filled them with a few clothing finds, and Resurrection Vintage Studio began.

Somewhere between the estate sales, thrift-store aisles, and strange things I absolutely could not leave behind, I fell in love with what I was building. That little rack grew into a downstairs booth, then an even bigger space, an online presence, an incredible community, and a styling business that allows me into people’s homes, their most sacred spaces. And the funniest part? Resurrection started with nothing but clothes…and now I don’t even sell clothes.

Today, Kreede is a private pilot, Resurrection is growing and thriving, and I get to spend my days creating, collecting, styling, and working with clients I truly cherish. What began as a practical way to pay for flight school became the creative life and community I didn’t even know I needed. Proof, once again, that God always has a better story than the one we can see ahead of us.
